No. Hypocrisy implies saying one thing and doing another, or holding double standards.
This is a broader statement... hypocrisy overlaps some part of it

Correct, "Don't tell someone to not do something that you're currently doing." Don't judge another person by a philosophy you're not willing to get judged upon yourself. I certainly agree that the book and the philosophy that this comes from is ridiculous.

Like I said, that’s one subset. The principle reads stronger. Close to equivalent to “let who he is without sin cast the first stone” a sort of general equivalence of all moral failings. “Don’t judge a murderer if you cursed out loud” etc.
