Idea for adversarial press briefings: reporters type in questions that go on a leaderboard, and vote on what they want answered. Top question goes first. Questions stay on top till majority marks them ‘answered’. Nice and decorous.
Few leaders would have the courage for this.

AFAIK, the first half of that (voting on questions on a leaderboard) already happens at large-ish tech companies with regular Q&As.
Staying on until the majority marks as answered is interesting. I suspect it would then take 1 hour to get through 2-3 questions :)

I never understood why this isn't the practice literally everywhere questions can be asked.
Too much friction probably. Could a special purpose app fix that?
