What are the pros and cons of having bolded keywords and key phrases in a book that will have electronic and printed editions? Pros are obvious: easier to skim for key ideas, more emphasis key points, easy to revisit most important parts But what are the cons?

I'm thinking just the first mention of each keyword that I introduce, like "placeholding" or "intermediate packets." That should be very sparse and not interfere with judgment too much
-
That’s what traditional italics are for. Boldface is mood breaker.

Easier for book summary services to copy the key points and turn into executive learn everything in five minute infomercials
-
I'm hoping they'll do that. There's a point beyond which I need others to summarize/translate the methods for me
