i think about sometimes how i am a mediocre swimmer (although i have recently transited from fast-slow swimmer to slow-fast swimmer) and i would say that my mediocrity anxiety is tempered by caring about ∂performance/∂laziness

it's kinda like the same thing as the "only" statement with loads of qualifiers like "we're the only firm that blah blah blah blah all these qualifiers"
