if a particularly productive person is sentenced to prison, that hurts us all. surely there should be a market in time-serving, so that productive people can pay less productive people to serve prison sentences in their stead.

once we open the door (so to speak), the space for market design becomes quite large! and perhaps we can find wisdom in traditional practices that hav evolved over the centuries. have we considered managing blood money on the blockchain?
