I honestly don’t get the Bojack Horseman crowd. I also never got King of the Hill crowd, who I suspect are similar.

Doubtful, I never had any desire to watch more than 2 minutes of King of the Hill. Bojack is brilliant.

I got through almost a full season of Bojack without acquiring a taste for it. Just don’t care about innards of Hollywood as a milieu I think.

The Hollywood stuff is just a backdrop. It's a pretty spot-on capture of a certain demographic of sort-of-not-really successful people (scaled somewhat by Bojack's wealth) and their lives, set in an over-the-top but truthful rendition of real America.

I get that, which us why it gets awarded zombie Clinton timeline. The point of fiction as opposed to nonfiction commentary is to do the broad thing through an appealing narrow thing and this doesn’t appeal to me personally. I prefer small town life, space hijinks etc.
