I was googling for provenance of ‘strong should rule the weak’ argument. Wikipedia had a bad summary of a lousy version of the argument from The Republic.

Nice. Between “oligarchic amoralism” and “kakistocracy”, it’s clear the ancient Greeks wouldn’t give us any points for originality.

On the contrary I find the Greek arguments pretty shallow and obvious. Post Darwinian ones are far richer.
