There is no such thing as being overcommitted. Your intention to X is worth no more than the smallest thing that can successfully distract you from effort towards X. Including X = staying alive. Your actual commitment % = 100*(24 - daily hours spent on distractions)/24.

You’re assuming a static world where one known exactly what has to be done in order to reach X, and where that doesn’t move in time, and where neither X changes. IMHO a bit of distraction is necessary to adapt to an ever changing world.
