Something I’ve become aware of only recently: effective people have a bonus-action mentality, where they opportunistically do extra things not in plans.
Sign of surplus energy, orientedness, and nerve.
Drives up average return rate since bonus actions tend to have high margin.

When you're behind you stick to the essentials, when you're ahead you take high margin risks

One of my mentors called it 'the prestige', that extra flourish at the end of a magic trick.

I'm confused: is saying "no" to unnecessary things is effective or doing extra things not in plans?
