When 2 people have a civil discussion about how to get both their needs met, the result is often simpler, with fewer long-term unintended consequences than stronger party just getting their way. But it requires both to be better versions of themselves in the short term.

It's a manual from a former FBI hostage negotiator. Focuses on framing and emotions and the pursuit of mutually agreaable outcomes over pure power plays. Highly recommend!
