We don’t live in a post-truth society so much as a post-romantic society. This is far more more dangerous. Post-truthiness can be mitigated technologically. But a deficit of romanticism cannot be solved until imagination returns to public spaces from where it’s been driven out

I'm a romantic, but I question the heroic fallacy. Much more meaningful work can be done changing the world not through my own victories, but rather through collaboration, consensus, and community.
