Err no... that's jumping to a conclusion. It's not "self interest harming society". It's an emergent systemic effect that needs engineering solutions. The alt equilibriums like standing in a queue are exactly as self-interested.

Yep. In each case I can think of a few solutions that have cake/eat it too. Keep rideshare advantages, beat taxi queues.
