"Adoption disequlibrium" is a great term for this. Has also happened at Seattle airport between taxis and rideshare. It is now easier/faster to join the taxi line than the rideshare scrum.

And yeah, TSA pre is getting there at seatac too. Though there, the advantage of not having to take shit out of bags or take off shoes compensates even if lines are same length

I'm nearing the trifecta this year: platinum on United with a chance of 1K, gold on Alaska, one cross-country away from platinum on American. I never go to the lounges. In and out. Lounges are for people who like to be in airports.
