shit, I do so much of my thinking on twitter these days that I should probably start using some sort of hashtag scheme to make it easy to collect it all up later

My problem is that I have 10-15 thought streams constituting about 20% of my tweets and shitposting as the other 80%. Need easy ways to curate those 10-15 separately. is the best idea I've seen on this so far

I don't think this will work on twitter this way. You need a way to a) work within the twitter interface, like a hashtag b) pull in historical tweets after the fact since most people face this problem AFTER they've accumulated tweets they now want to curate

Yes, I think point b gets us most of the way to your use case. The goal is to sync your tweets and be able to search through them to easily incorporate them into quests. Then publish back out to twitter, in a way mirroring the content there.

You can separate content tweets from pointer tweets; the pointer tweets can be remade at will. You search for content, & mark the good tweets worth saving using Quote Tweets, then make search strings for the Quote Tweets. Everything can be done w/in Twitter.
Quote Tweet
Metadata Quote Tweets (mQTs) is my term for Quote Tweets (QT) placed on your or others tweets, & used to mark such tweets. I use a single hashtag to mark all my mQTs since this allows me to select them easily. Combined with search, this lets you do several things.

Threading 101: Metadata Quote Tweets: These are QTs that simply provide some metadata for the quoted tweet. This can be used for marking tweets for searching. Marking can be done for abstract concepts or for specific tweets. My metadata QTs include a hashtag #XD identifying them as metadata. You can use any hashtag that you don’t already use. It's best to add -#exclude to your search paramaters.
