Some mental model of a flywheel or transmission that governs thoughts. First gear is easy (ADHD pointless tasks) but you need a real meaty problem to get enough velocity to shift into 4th gear.

What we call procrastination is actually just not getting enough thought-velocity built up to shift into second gear and higher. So we float across other first-gear grade tasks. Channel surfing, social media snacking, etc.
