When I snap out of procrastination, it is *never* by willing myself to be a better person. It is always some sort of breakthrough. It almost invariably turns out that my brain decided to wait for a good reason.

Some mental model of a flywheel or transmission that governs thoughts. First gear is easy (ADHD pointless tasks) but you need a real meaty problem to get enough velocity to shift into 4th gear.
