The 80s started to feel properly like history last week. I think that happens when people who didn’t live through an era watch it being interrogated behind a one-way mirror. The perp doesn’t know who is watching on the other side, the watchers can’t enter and ask live questions

He’s 53 (1965). Most people I know that age are not adapting at all. They’re just well off enough in their late middle age they don’t have to care.
