When you’re young, you get impatient about all the old people hanging around ideas that interest you. A mix of deadwood, rent-seekers, one-trick-ponies selling their one tricks for decades, has-beens, never-was types, hoarders, squatters etc. All to be gotten out of the way...

Now I’m starting to see ideas from the other side. Youth as a brash, noisy, largely misguided force attacking the rear, much of which will never amount to anything, but poses a short-term threat. Growing from minor irritant to serious annoyance to Children-of-Corn death force.
