Now I’m starting to see ideas from the other side. Youth as a brash, noisy, largely misguided force attacking the rear, much of which will never amount to anything, but poses a short-term threat. Growing from minor irritant to serious annoyance to Children-of-Corn death force.

It’s funny. Just when you think you’ve finally sorted out what’s important, figured out how the world works, decided what to care about, and have the resources to do something, energy starts to tank, resources get claimed by crap, and barbarian youth energy takes you down

hmmmmmm trying to use this lens on my own experience ... i feel like there were never really any old people hanging around my things (music, blogging, etc) – those that did were usually has-beens, yeah. basically harmless. general apathy of others was always bigger problem
