This is not really the Golden Age of TV so much as the Golden Age of Sitting Around Doing Nothing.
I’ve kinda been off TV for 2-3 months now, but it doesn’t feel that different. Life is still brief spikes of high effort punctuated by long periods of GASADNing.

Now that survival takes only a small fraction of a day, and intense focus on a cognitively demanding task can only be held for so long, what else is there to do? I'll happily dwell in the luxury to sit around (TV is still a waste though).

Yeah I’ve replaced TV with podcasts but can’t really say that it’s any different value-add wise. Still just laying around consuming low-effort content

It's time to start a commune in northern VT, grow your own food, incubate ideas, write, befriend, and design a better society.
