Being an outside consultant internalizing usable mental models of a large company is like being a python or boa swallowing an elephant whole. Takes a day to swallow and then you’re in a digestion coma for a week or month.

I feel your pain. Is there some kind of support forum for outsider consultants, outside of the Big 5 management consulting BS?

Ever escalating mental model arms races. Frameworks begin to break down as soon as all participants realize theirs won’t win the argument. It’s not pretty - 2x2s strewn everywhere, half completed journey maps abandoned on whiteboards
