and it's funny because i just think about it as schleppin' data but i could imagine myself talking to some khaki-wearing CTO writing me off because i didn't use the right jargon term

and like, i strongly believe that there exist some irreducible idiomatic concepts that stakeholders in other domains of expertise (read: clients) cannot avoid remaining ignorant of in order to work with; not everything can be nerfed away by metaphor
