I produced my own alphabet in college for taking notes. for fun. I could read and write it fluently. forgot it was weird. then someone asked to borrow my notes one day. they looked at me like a serial killer :)

Laterally inverted writing in multiple languages works for me. Also, in most cases I can write in tiny font, usable precisely due to good handwriting (contrary to suggestions of using bad handwriting)

I second this. Our brain+muscle memory adapt quite rapidly to this with a little practice, and yet people find it impenetrable (at a casual glance)
