Not counting sleep, but ignoring weekends, what’s the hardest-driving real duty cycle you can sustain for say months on end between vacations? Talking real-and-present mental effort, not slacking/faking it with a fake spreadsheet.
Mine is probably 1 day on, 1 day off.

You’re a lawyer though, right? So set up in a work environment designed to solve for high output/utilization. In some ways that’s easier than a lower duty cycle in a less structured environment.

When I was young and naive, I did a couple hard two weeks on stints that produced work I’m very proud of but left me real drained. Doing that now would be harder

3-12 days hardcore, 3-12 days half-ass. I think I'm functioning micro-level manic-depressive.

I try to do one calendar-worthy achievement per day (ex. something worth saying, “on Aug 31 I created a great illustration”)
If it happens at 9 AM I take the rest of the day in neutral. If it never happens I burn out and need a day to recuperate.

6-8 intense hours ~15 days
3-4 hours 5 or 6 days / week, 3+ mos
3-6 hours so-so for a months
Has to be personally meaningful work, without external forcers, or admin tps report bs
