2/ Motivated by a recent interest in boxing (and a recent conversation with ), I'm going to try to address for myself the question of how hard it is to manipulate your weight dehydration.

3/ Right now, Friday night, I am well fed and well hydrated, weighing in at a robust 184 pounds, which is on the high side of my typical daily weight fluctuation. I'll weigh myself again on Monday morning after some strategic dehydration and well compare the difference.

4/ My plan is pretty simple.
Tomorrow: I'll drink water when I'm thirsty, but absolutely no sodium (salt), which increases water retention.
Sunday: No sodium, and as little water as I can manage without too much misery.

6/ After a very normal 12 hours, (sleep plus a couple bathroom breaks) I am down almost 4 pounds already.
This is more or less my typical daily weight fluctuation.

8/ I will keep myself well hydrated today, but I'm also going to sweat (and urinate) out a lot of salt. It'll be interesting to see how much lighter "well hydrated" is after a day of salt out and no salt in.

9/ Just before and just after a 70 minute run. Water loss through sweat is no joke!

Those numbers look suspicious. I’m going to run some statistical tests
