Geneva convention is a bad example. It has a completely lopsided power differential in how it’s applied - just look at how we and western nations apply it to civilian casualties since 2001. Clearly it only applies to whoever Global North nations consider war criminals

Following that lopsidedness, one would expect its application to digital products to roughly comport with power dynamics and differentials, and I wouldn’t expect it to change a damn thing relative to how even Twitter operates

The obvious, analogous one IMO: violence to life and person of, hostage-taking of, attacks on dignity of, and passing of sentences and executions of persons taking no active part in hostilities

We need less laws and conventions and more consumer reporting and consumption of consumer reporting: IE, make it legal to fire for anything, including bigoted reasons etc. but also require people to fairly document their reasoning and impose huge fines if they're dishonest.
