When I was at seminary the first-years had to chop and stack enough to make sure we could run the wood-fired furnace for duration of the Minnesota winter, they would motivate us by not turning the furnace on until this was complete. 🥶

Plenty of wood here in Upstate NY. Many of our neighbors heat with it. We have a wood lot with many downed trees awaiting splitting. Simpler than working a logging crew. For your next visit to RochesterNY
