I have a nasty suspicion though that most in this age range have learned nothing and not grown much after college, and are likely to be a bundle of stale thoughts, tedious domestic concerns, and resentments/regrets. Plus of course some bullshit expertise.

I don’t know. There’s not much out there if you exclude the pros who’ve been writing since their 20s/30s. For the purposes of this I’d consider myself a pro.

You might have more success soliciting sci-fi or fantasy from this age set. We've seen enough to know society/technology/systems of technology & people could be better, but no motivation to reskill and make it better.

Am in that age range. Huge fan of your work. FWIW: I’ve not retreated into “depressed exhausted silence”, but ppl my age do get the impression that lots of younger ppl in the scene don’t have much patience for a POV from this perspective
