1/ Who wants to hear some scientific intrigue? A few weeks ago, a group of physical chemists posted a paper online announcing the observation of superconductivity at room temperature. Today I posted a comment pointing out something funny in their data.

Non-sharing is sadly common in experimental physics, since some people feel like their special samples are their competitive advantage for writing high-impact papers. But it almost seems mandatory here, at least in a limited way, since the claim is so big.

I'm seriously betting against that because I don't expect people to be that crazy to fake such a discovery. Could be a mistake, as it's a 2-member team of chemists working out of their usual field in a country where science is underfunded & most scientists work independently.
