This is my conversational account. For my work follow @ribbonfarm, @breaking_smart, @artofgig. Tweets are 90% vacuous views, apathetically held. Mediocritopian.

What are the most difficult and depressing topics you are forced to think about, and about which you can’t find good existing thinking?

Actually I cannot. We are all more than the sum of our tweets. I can’t really predict people I haven’t interacted with face to face

I am forced to think about that my children will die either before me or after me and either way is essentially horrible. No one has anything sufficiently complicated to say, just pure anti-natalism or ~circle of life~

That’s interesting. Latter seems like a blessing to both sides rather than problem to me but I have no kids so what do I know.

How to reconcile apparent necessity and inevitability of hierarchies and violent state power in human societies with the innate moral intuition that hurting people is Bad.

What is most recently depressing to me in this area is that the "EPA" is now disregarding asbestos and will “no longer consider the effect or presence of substances in the air, ground, or water in its risk assessments.” Open for business, folks! Get your mesothelioma here!
