Idea: buy land in sea-level rise coastal zones, and build houseboat type houses, but on floating sliders that rise up posts or something

That awkward decade where the home is surrounded by soggy ground too shallow to boat through.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a boat? I feel like I'm missing the point of buying soon-to-be-submerged real estate?

Most people don't want to live on boats. They want to live in a static place connected to a hinterland. And such constructions would be much cheaper than boats.

You’d be buying property prior to it plummeting in value

Joke's on you if the water rises even higher than you think it will.
