Does winemaking compress information grape? Of the terroir of the year, or more marketing information is embedded in a bottle?

I think winemaking would be a shallow U that passes through the box and a little bit into culture quadrant. If it spoils or turns into vinegar or is contaminated it instantly drops to sewage level in waste quadrant.

1/ Maybe the X axis is a "care about/don't care" instead of "supply chain miles". You're putting things on the map that are never part of the supply chain. Instead, the left are things civilization cares about and the right things civilization doesn't care about

Can we have loops out from waste and back? Petfood started as taking organs they pay you to take away and turning into product. Compost sits in a tub for months apart, gaining an invisible culture before use. IoT data might sit in the cloud illegibly-unvaluable for years.

Yeah there’s definitely loops. I mean nature is full of loops and we’ve managed a few artificial ones like that one (mostly doencycling). But overall flow has to be dissipative structure/entropic given the boundary conditions right?
