Concept: Context vortex
Like a gravity well of the mind
Like fish in water except you are aware of it, but without knowing about other contexts
Like a frog that knows it is in a well, except it rotates like a centrifuge, pinning you to sides making it hard to climb out

People in a context vortex are viscerally aware they’re in a one but somehow can’t find an intellectual way out of it. So ideas churn around in a vortex without getting anywhere. Vorticity is flow with a clear vector, yet bounded.

Something like a generalization of my idea of a manufactured normalcy field but including weirdness. Glitches are noticeable but not actionable. Trying to process a leaky abstraction from inside.

Things like depression, OODA loop collapse are examples. What’s common to all is that an external lifeline has to penetrate via a glitch that you can grab, to stop swirling and start climbing out, without knowing what’s “out” there.

Redpills are not quite it. You’re not necessarily getting to a truer reality, just one where non-circular thinking is possible again.

i usually speak of those as attractors and their basins in conceptual phase space
