Counterfactual: culture wars would have been avoided if Gen X has been a normal-sized cohort. We’d have had numbers to tell both boomers and millennials to stfu and let us handle shit for a while. Boomers have overstayed on stage, millennials are only 70% ready, X’ers are too few

No, Silents, not boomers, are parents of X’ers. Boomers produced Millennials. Generations birth n+2. Silents were children during depression/WW2 era.

Culture wars are overstated imo. The real story is the US and Europe feeling they are falling behind as Asian African S American economies thrive and the global narrative becomes more heterogeneous. Culture wars are Beatles vs Stones and 80% of people never heard of either

A little presumptuous to think Gen X could handle things much better than the Boomers. Little to no reason to think they wouldn’t be more corrupt, as their predecessors showed them it is very easy to get away with it, and Gen X seems smarter than them in aggregate (ostensibly)...

Not handle it better, just handle it period. There's basically not enough people of that age group to staff leadership positions right now.

Counter-counterfactual: X-ers could do the job with smaller numbers but we decided against it. We were raised by Jor-El not to “interfere with human history” https://youtu.be/TjgsnWtBQm0

We didn’t do it because we were raised to believe nothing was worth the effort.
