Has anyone tried to apply Wardley mapping to actual conflict as opposed to business competition? Like military or political? Cc: @swardley

Can nation state competition be mapped ... Yes. Could brexit be mapped ... I see no reason why not and certainly it could be used at industry level. Could culture conflict be mapped ... I see no obvious reason why it could not but then I've never looked into it.

Yes all of it could be mapped. I'm not convinced Wardley mapping is going to provide the a ton of valuable insight in those cases.

Ah ok. Because it would be subordinated to the form — users, needs, components, visibility, dependency (flow), evolution — it helps to flex within the form. For one, changing what a component can be by operating at a higher level of abstraction. Could do a lot with that.
