Money emits information (about what you do that society really cares about). It pierces the veils of politeness, political correctness, expediency. In this sense more interesting than production and consumption.

Fair enough - but I would argue that stealing music is theft (no different than stealing a car although the former is digital and frictionless). And I agree it doesn’t convey the users “utility”. Just the price willing to be paid vs other alternatives.

Money is production in suspended animation. Storing it in a representational form allows greater freedom in commerce, but also more numerous forms of risk.

My interest in money is a form of inertia from the times when I was desperate for it, to eat and live. I’m no longer feeding the flywheel but I can see that it will take years more to fully wind down.
