Every time I meet an interesting non-neurotypical who clearly has a lot of interesting things in their head but finds it painfully hard to connect with others, I’m struck by the sheer, overwhelming difficulty of human connection. We’re still in the Stone Age of human sociability.

I want to distinguish between instinct & intuition. Instinct is built-in and basically biological. Intuition is learned, but implicitly in most cases -- pattern-matching facilities based on rewiring to optimize for recognition in response to heavy exposure.
