Every time I meet an interesting non-neurotypical who clearly has a lot of interesting things in their head but finds it painfully hard to connect with others, I’m struck by the sheer, overwhelming difficulty of human connection. We’re still in the Stone Age of human sociability.

Eng-lang etc are poorly designed/evolved for expressing dense complex thoughts. By the time they are about to be uttered, the train is gone.

Reminds me of this line from Dexter:
"They make it look so easy. Connecting with another human being. It's like no one told them it's the hardest thing in the world."

Communication/connection is proportional not to (linguistic/ empathetic/conceptual) vocabulary of the individual, but the shared vocabulary of the group.
Can't communicate/ connect easily/at all, if you don't have those models ready.

Ive met two types of individuals that make it challenging to connect with; there are those that refuse to seek understanding or even listen to a subject/individual not to their liking, or those that fail to see the value in relationships altogether.
Both prohibit relatability
