I find the
$TWTR story remarkable. In the time when it said it would increase its tweet length from 140 to 280 chars and ‘experts/analysts’ said it was the end of Twitter and put sell ratings on the stock, it’s gone from about $20 and is now trading above $46. Their products ultimately are extremely useful. But that gets zero press coverage since it’s considered known. So perception thru press much worse than user reality.

Actually quite the opposite. Markets, increasingly, have lesser notion of a moral hazard. Like insurance, social media, when executed well, hack human psychology for gain.
