1/I'd go further & say the whole project of personality psych (and this encrustment atop it) is, at very best, premature. We should instead be using "foundations" like his as the barest tests there may be some reproducible gene/biophysical mechanism & then attempt to build bigger

2/theories only once micro-foundations are in place. (This is roughly what Eysenck was trying to do before he died, but the approach is not "sexy" and does not sell books, so we're still stuck in a mire.)

Academics who want to be taken seriously by a wide audience will have a much easier time achieving their goal by doing aggregate studies on the many vs attempting to aggregate evidence about outlier individuals.
