It is not a useful guide for leaders who are responsible to ensure the desired culture and a suitable style (Radical Candor probably addresses that more comprehensively and rigorously. I have not read the book, only articles/interviews a while ago) 6/15

So in a startup with a relatively close-knit team someone who is the lone diplomatic speaker may be seen as counterproductive and called those names like chameleon. May also apply in a change/innovation situation in a large org 7/15

Straight talk can get you labelled as naïve or attacked as a loose cannon in an toxic backstabbing environment. Note that a bully leader or someone with more power doing it is different, we are dealing with broad guidance based on situational parameters 10/15

I wrote the adjectives first after making the axes and quadrants, then tried to provide example situations or environments. Unlike the axes and adjectives that have opposites across the axis on either side, the environments are not opposites of each other 12/15
