George himself was against the opening of borders specifically to lower prevailing rates for labor. This led to his unfortunate support for the Chinese Exclusion Act. No modern consensus, I don’t think.
What does Georgism have to say about closed/open borders? What is the relationship if any between NIMBYism at urban scales and nativism at the national scale?
