How can you live faster without metaphorically running out of breath? 🤔 I think I’ve gotten lazy and need to pick up the tempo. Pump up the good ol’ elan vital. My first idea is spicier food. I tried ‘slow is smooth, smooth is fast’, but part 2 turned into ‘smooth is sleepy’

It’s happened to me from changing situations, like different jobs/educational institutions or finding different people to be around. The hard part is finding a compatible setting.

I had the same experience w slow/smooth. I find that housework is good at mitigating this and upping cognitive velocity. Cleaning the kitchen or doing laundry or gardening all get blood flowing while providing plenty of space to think. YMMV

What's wrong with running out of breath? If it doesn't cause me to either run out of breath or take it away, metaphorically or otherwise, then it's not really living.

Been there, doing that :-( I don't think biochemical hacks solve it. Somewhere the strengths-eliciting situations are not occurring at the required frequency because there are creative productive bursts on days. 1/
