@vgr what's a good book or resource to learn about vcs, startups, deals, etc? Venture Deals by Feld recommended, anything else you might recommend? Thanks.

I got nothing. I don’t do stuff at the pitch circuit level.

Thanks. I just feel like I don't grok the whole system, and it appears there isn't a good tutorial for novices. Thanks again!

Talk to people who’ve raised recently. Learning seasonal pitching trends/fads is almost level 1 of the game.

Thanks. Not so much pitching (also would love to learn about that) but more about equity, tables, and the whole system. Seems fundamental, yet I can't find a fundamental, unbiased resource.

Try Bill Janeway book for macro level. Other stuff, plenty of blog posts and things. It changes too quickly for stable books. Google the basic definitions of terminology when you encounter it in the VC blogs.
