Georgism. The term is best applied to the belief that George got most things right, and 80% of P&P by volume is this exactly. LVT was always just a solution of convenience, on the (now seemingly disproven) belief that it'd be simpler in the west than more radical schemes.
I don’t know. I think Georgism is too purist and a bit cargo cultish. I am for a much broader design space opened up by weakening private ownership of land.
There's a need for terminology for this school, but I think there's first a need for this school to amass the presence to make its enemies name it. Right now, I hear whispers about neo-Georgism, with geolibertarians and geoists floating nearby.
I am a mobilitarian. Making mobility rather than rootedness the basis for thinking about land. A very different direction I think.
