Parfit basically concluded that you shouldn’t feel anything, but admitted he totally would anyway... thus, there are still some wrinkles left in moral philosophy.

Who’s Parfit? Sounds like he has some sort of utilitarian philosopher’s abstract spherical cow mental model of selfhood.

I’m thinking about Will Riker’s clone (Thomas)on ST:TNG and John Crichton’s clone on Farscape. They seemed to care for each other but i find it difficult to fathom feeling empathy for a copy of one’s self. Might like to see it destroyed - but not sure about suffer.
