I do, but I feel like there’s some subtle differences (culturally and in terms of visual culture) which I still don’t entirely understand. Written while currently visiting the east coast again and perceiving it as somehow being more grounded.

to me, the lack of rain/snow to disturb the organization of objects gives things—grime, disorder, whatever—a weird permanence; there are no natural forces to intervene on a situation it’s as if a video game in that way
