The problem with GDPR is that you end up meta-responsible for whatever constellation of services and plugins you use (in my case, wordpress, google analytics, mailchimp, typeform, share buttons...). It's fundamentally unbounded.

Working to get clients "Compliant" has been a trip - so far they mostly get outraged at how much they're spending and opt to just ... put up copy saying they're compliant now.
