The older I get the less patience I have for “systems” of any sort. They’re nearly always avoidance mechanisms for some unpleasant-to-process baggage.

Sort of in the same way that "hilarious warning signs mean enough people once tried to do that thing". So like "onerous processes are an org's response to some trauma event in the past" and also "too many of them can reduce agility and movement", hence scars
