An ideology is likely evil in proportion to its eagerness to embrace new technology. The only _ideological_ reason to be interested in new technology is if you’re hoping to gain a zero-sum advantage over the hated outgroup. Direct non-ideological tech curiosity is good though.

no, that’s the unrelated project of expropriating the value of their land properly. this is just creating new value faster than they can take it, for everyone in between. In the long term, they even benefit!
