The guy whose house is on fire wants to question the bystander who saw the house on fire and called 911. His voice could have swayed others to defend our democracy. Our national security is at stake and we are losing. Instead, he's a profile in cowardice.

He can lie to the public and say that he doesn't see the evidence to impeach but when he looks in the mirror he can't lie to himself. He will have to carry the shame for the rest of his days.
